First Day in Germany

WEDNESDAY , 15 MAY 2019

It was a tiring day, we reached at 00:50, the weather in Marienberg was very cold, we got out of the bus we were really excited to meet our partners and their families and explore.

We met our families and then we went to their house, their house was really nice and beautiful, I had my meals and after a tiring day I slept.

In the morning we had school at 09:00 , we had a situation session in which we were given day-to-day situations that we could face during our exchange programme and we with our german partners discussed about it. Then we went out for Marienberg tour , it snowed a bit and for Indians the weather was too cold and we didn’t expect that weather then in there. We saw the town hall , the statue of founder of Marienberg, Herzog Heinrich, Zschopauer gate and some local buildings .

After the tour we got back to the school , we had an Indian lunch after that   we had a welcome ceremony where we were welcomed by the tenth graders and we were given the school t-shirts and our partners sang Glück Auf for our welcome and we also had an orchestra.

After the school after enough rest we went to a short walk in local forest , the weather was nice and a bit cold. After coming back we saw an animated movie and after that I went on a drive in which I saw some local old and new buildings near Marienberg and the day ended with tasty meals.
