First day in Germany

Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.

AGREEING WITH HELEN KELLER; I DECIDED TO CHOOSE ADVENTURE IN MY LIFE:

As a child who was used to overprotection, I couldn´t have even imagined in my wildest dreams to go on a foreign trip with my school. It seems really diificult to put this amazing feeling of staying in a different home in a different country into words.

I woke up with a huge smile on my face and got ready for breakfast in no time. Chocolate muesli is something that I have never tried in India, but here, Oh, I fell in love with this simple breakfast. (One should always keep trying new stuff is what I have learnt here.) We recieved a very warm welcome in Gymnasium Marienberg, our school for the next week. There was an orchestra which pleased the soul followed by an individual welcome of all of us by our hosts in the assembly. There was a little activity for the Indian and German students aiming at an even more cordial relationship between us. We were taken on a little city tour as well where we had a glance of the history of Marienberg and got to know the importance of mining in the area. After the city tour, we had an extremely delicious Indian meal served by the school.

First day

My lovely host family took me to a toy musuem in a town nearby, named Sieffen, I am still awestruck by the precision of the workers who have created these pieces of artwork. Later on, we went to Alexandra´s (my host) grandma´s place. It was a great time at her place.

At the toy museum

I am grateful to my host family for the really appreciate and uphold my love for photography. On our way back home, we stopped at many locations like the castle in Neuhausen to enjoy the beauty of the nature and click as many pictures as we can. At the end of this special day, we went to Phillip´s Pizzeria to have a hearty meal. The pizza and spaghetti were toothsome.

It was a day to be remembered for a lifetime !
