Visit to Humayun’s Tomb by Abhiti and Lena

Today we went for travelling in Delhi in the Ho Ho Bus. We went to many places. One of those places was the Humayun’s Tomb. Humayun’s Tomb is a mausoleum which was made for Humayun by his wife Bega Begum. It’s a huge Tomb with a building made up of red sandstone, the inner Tomb which is made up of yellow and black marble and a dome structure on the top of the building which is made up of white marble. In front of the mausoleum, there were many small water filled areas, some fountains and on the sides were some huge gardens. The mausoleum has the grave of Bega Begum and also it has many graves of the family members of Humayun outside the room in which Bega Begum’s grave is kept. The mausoleum had many beautiful structures and drawing on its walls. The Tomb was surrounded by a lot of trees and greenery and it was a very beautiful scenery over there. It was an enjoyable, educational and interesting visit for us.
