Our first day in Berlin

On Friday, 17.05. All Indian and German students met at 6 at dawn. Then we went by bus to Berlin. On the way we tried to catch up for a couple of hours of sleep that we had missed from the previous nights. Afterwards, the Indian students sang, took pictures and danced wildly through the bus. When we were in Berlin, we drove our bus through the city and have seen many attractions, such as the Victory Column, the Bellvue Castle and the government district. A nice man was on the city tour with us and has explained us a lot. At the Berlin Wall, we made a stopover to take pictures and to admire the graffiti. Then we went to the youth hostel, where we checked in and moved into our rooms. In the afternoon we went to the Bundestag. There we were led through the whole building. We heard a lot about the building “Bundestag” and about politics. We were even allowed to visit the plenary hall and then climbed up onto the dome and on the roof, where, as so often, we took pictures and enjoyed the view of Berlin. Then we visited the Brandenburg Gate on our way to dinner. In the evening we ate in small groups in Berlin and talked a lot and had a lot of fun together. When we arrived back at the youth hostel after half an hour walk, everything was very happy and tired. That was a very nice day in Berlin.
