First day in Germany (15.5.2019)

On my first day in Germany, I woke up late as at night we had arrived slept late (due to late arrival), understanding the circumstances our school was postponed to 9A:M, then soon after arriving we went to a classroom and got our basic instructions (for various situations) and then went to the city tour of Marienberg. When I got out of the school I was really astonished to see the snowfall as it was my first experience with it. We all collected near the city square (Herzog Heinrich statue); after getting to know about the knight’s statue and a little bit hint about the architecture and the town hall (Administrative centre) of the city, we went to various tourist spots like Postsäule, Lindenhäuschen(old house), Zschopauer Tor etc.. Then we returned to the school and had an Indian meal. Then we had a Welcome ceremony where we were welcomed with songs played by German students and a special performance by the German hosts (Eric,Florin and Simeon) and then the school director, Mr. Huth and  Indian teacher(Purti ma’am ) gave a speech. Then I went to the piano lessons with Simeon and his sister, Helena, there I relaxed while listening to the music. Then we went back home and I met his siblings and slept for some time and then I gave them their presents (all of them were really happy after receiving them). The gifts contained spices, tea ,Indian wall hangings etc.. Then after getting up we had a dinner . Soon after the diner we played a typical typical German game (Mensch ägere dich nicht). This is how my first day ended, in a small glimpse of time but it helped me to learn about the elegant city and the family.
