The Trip to Agra by Arihant and Erci

On Saturday the 6th of October we went to one of the most impressing buildings in the world, the „Taj Mahal“. The day started very early in the morning, because we had to drive for about 4 hours even thought there wasn’t that much traffic. On the way to Agra many of the students slept and we listened to popular music from India and Germany. When we arrived we had to walk a few meters until we reached the south gate. In the entrance our bags were checked and we had to give up some food, because we didn’t know it was forbidden. After we entered trough the main gate a beautiful view opened up with the “Taj Mahal” right in the center, a mosque on the left and a guest-house on the right side. Our guide explained us how and why Shah Jahan built the mausoleum masterpiece for his wife. After approximately 10 min. of time to take a few photos we finally got in the real ‘Taj Mahal’. It was very tight thought because of all the people wanting to enter. In the inside we weren’t allowed to take any photos, but still, it was a very nice experience. After the “Taj Mahal’ we went souvenir-shopping and ate at a nice restaurant nearby. The afternoon we drove to the “Agra Ford” from where we were able to see the “Taj Mahal”. Our guide again explained a lot and we shot a lot of photos. On the way back especially the German students were very tired and we arrived back in New Delhi at 21:30.
