The first day at school by Abhiti and Lena

5 October 2018 (The first school day)
Lena and mine amazing day started at 8 am in the school where we were welcomed at the school with the school band. Then the assembly started where first there was a welcome ceremony where all the German delegates were welcomed by their Indian hosts by a garland and a ‘tika’. After that there was a prayer song by the school choir, a performance by the school band, a yoga performance by the school yoga students, a traditional dance performance by our senior dance students and at last there was a motivating speech by our principal Ms. Geeta Gangawani mam and by Ms. Silvia Langhoff mam. Then there was an interesting activity in the green lab where we all were given some problems that we may face during the exchange by Silvia Mam and we had to find a solution for those problems with our partners. Lena and my thinking was very much similar so we were able to do that so easily. Then there was a ‘kho – kho’ class for the German students where they learned and played ‘kho – kho’ and after that we just had a friendly volleyball match. Then I took Lena to my class for 5 minutes and introduced her to my friends. Then we had lunch. After that all the German students were taught hindi by Ms. Neeru Trikha mam. Then we had a bhangra dance class where all German students were taught ” Bhangra ” dance. My friends and I also danced for a while. Then we had the art class where Lena and I started a art work. Then the school was over. After that Lena, my mom, my brother and I had a lunch at Pizza Hut. From there we went for Sandra’s birthday party. We enjoyed a lot over there and interacted with other German students. Then we left the party around 6 30pm and reached home by 7 15 pm. After that we rested for some time. After some rest I taught Lena a new game ” Othello” we played it a lot and after that we had a short chess match. We didn’t have any dinner as both of us were full as we ate a lot at Sandra’s party, so both of us just went to bed as we had to wake up early to go to Agra.
